WOW Grandbaby # 8 is here!!

Our newest grand baby Gracie arrived April 8th at 6:02 pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20 inches long. Sam and Lyndsey are very excited, along with Kenzie and Kierra. These picture are just a couple of hours after the baby was born. She is a real cutie!!

Kenzie was not feeling well the day Gracie was born so she wasn't able to hold her that day. So the next day when she came to visit she was very happy to be able to hold her new little sister!

Fun Family Night!!

Our first family night this spring! The weather was great and so we went for a hike up Dell Canyon. Mark was hoping we would run into snow about half way up and would have to turn around but no such luck. Only a small amount of snow just enough for a few snow balls. It felt really good to get out and enjoy the out doors.

We also took Josie along with us and she was alot of fun!!

It is a bit strange to only have two kids home!! (most or the time)

More Easter!!

Teancum looking handsome for Easter, he wasn't into the eggs to much but loved being outside!

It was great to have Ian home with us for Easter! He and Mindy enjoyed seeing the kids having fun.

Yes Alie also made a pretty good haul. She was shaking all the eggs looking for ones with money in them :) It's always great to get the family together. We had a great day!!

Alie and Mark's Trip to Washington D.C.

Mark has a tradition of taking each of the kids to Washington D.C. to give them the opportunity to learn about their National Heritage. This last February Alie was able to go. They went to lots of different places. This picture on the left is of the Vietnam Memorial. It is much different visiting D.C. today than it was years ago with Brittany and Mindy. They were able to go to inside the White House on a tour after waiting in line for a couple hours. Now it is much harder and takes a lot more preparing and planning to go inside the White House. One of Alie's favorite things to see was the Holocaust Museum. She has been studying that in school so it was neat for her to be able to see that. Other places they visited include; Capital, Air and Space Museum, all the main monuments, and the World War II memorial, George Washingtons house (Mt. Vernon). Alie was all museumed out after that so they continued on to a huge mall where she could satisfy her shopping needs. Alie experienced riding an underground subway. It was a great trip!

Sid, went to help Brittany with the baby on the 11th of February and then Mark and Mindy tagged along a couple days later on Thursday. Today we all went to the Strategic Air and Space museum http://www.strategicairandspace.com. It was a blast and the boys loved it. Tomorrow our plans are to go to the Zoo!

stayin' alive.....stayin alive, oh oh oh stayin' aliiiiive!

As many of you have noticed the fun fun falkners have been lacking on the blog posting thing. Well I finally decided to learn how to blog so I am getting the hang of things, I even gave it a shot at my own since everyone else is doing it (http://www.mindyfalkner.blogspot.com). Things in the Falkner house hold are going well. After 18 years we finally got rid of Ian. No just kidding we all really miss him but he has gone away to school up at Utah State. He is loving it there. Right now mom is in Nebraska helping Britt and Niel with the boys. Britt just had her third boy yesterday I believe as of now he is still name less. We will just call him Big Baby Lund until they chose a name, he weighed in at 10lbs 1 oz. 22 inches long. He is a cutie.
Alie and Dad just got back from a fun trip to D.C. a couple weeks ago. They enjoyed visiting lots of different places.
Grandma Sid continues to run a fast pace life with all the grandkids she loves so much. I think she just falls asleep whenever she sits down for more than five minutes. Dad and I have enjoyable experiences teasing her. We wouldn't do it if we knew she didn't love it ;) She is an amazing women and we all love her! She does so many wonderful things for our family.
